Haliotika, the fishing centre in Le Guilvinec, is THE place to visit in the Bigouden region. In our discovery centre, climb aboard the Bara Breizh, a reconstructed trawler, and follow the journey of the fish from the sea to the plate. Take a fully immersive tour of the coastal fish auction and watch the fish from our coasts being auctioned off live. It's an unforgettable visit that will give you an insight into the difficult but fascinating job of our fishermen. All the information and the programme are on our website. Online bookings are preferable. Start your visit immersed in our discovery centre by virtually boarding the ‘Bara Breizh’, a deep-sea trawler from Le Guilvinec. Every area of the ship is recreated: saloon, lazarette, interactive bridge, bunks, showers, cloakroom, fish hold, engine room, etc. Continue your visit by following the fish step by step as it makes its way from the sea to the plate. Then take an immersive tour of the coastal fish auction from 4pm: Witness the auction of fritillating langoustines and fish just unloaded from the boats. Our guides will explain how the auction works and tell you a few anecdotes about the fish and shellfish. Monday to Friday. Public holidays excluded. With the help of your investigator's rucksack, your family will help our fisherman to find all his fishing tackle in the streets of Guilvinec... A fun way to discover or rediscover Guilvinec! - Family treasure hunt ‘Les filles du Guil’, from April, during opening days and times. With the help of your rucksack, set off on an adventure and investigate. It's a fun way to discover or rediscover Le Guilvinec and the women who have left their mark on its history. - Behind-the-scenes tour of the fish auction at 11am, 2.45pm and 5.15pm: With the whole family, young and old, discover the Guilvinec fish market and how it works.
