Espace muséographique de l’île de Sein

Re-opening in 2017. This new museum gathers the former 'Musée de la SNSM' and the former museum of Île de Sein. It presents the history of coast-guarding around the Île de Sein, housed in the former lifeboat station that has hardly changed, and it includes several objects found by the underwater archaeology group ARHAMIS. Here you can also find: - on the ground floor: island life in times gone by - on the 1st floor: when the men of Sein headed to London to join General de Gaulle in June 1940, during the time of the Free French Forces. - in the function room on the ground floor: temporary exhibitions
